Russian Drone Strikes Hit Kryvyi Rih Amid Ongoing Attacks in Dnipropetrovsk Region

On March 23, Russian forces targeted Kryvyi Rih with drone strikes, focusing on energy and residential sectors. Explosions were reported throughout the city as the attacks unfolded.

According to local officials, the strikes aimed at both industrial and energy infrastructure, resulting in damage to residential areas as well. Emergency rescue operations commenced shortly after the attacks.

These strikes are part of a broader pattern of systematic assaults against the Dnipropetrovsk region, where Russian forces frequently employ missiles and drones. Kryvyi Rih has been a recurrent target, with previous attacks also aimed at residential buildings and critical infrastructure, leading to significant destruction and civilian casualties.

Following the March 23 drone attack, two individuals sustained injuries, and a fire broke out as a result of the strikes, as reported by Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

The day after the attack on Kryvyi Rih, on March 24, Russian forces launched a widespread assault across Ukraine using both missiles and drones. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that around one thousand drones were detected in the airspace over Ukraine during this period.

The recent drone strikes in Kryvyi Rih highlight the ongoing threat posed by Russian attacks in the Dnipropetrovsk region, targeting both civilian and critical infrastructure. Local authorities reported injuries and damage as emergency operations began in response to the assault.
