Kyiv Braces for Drone Attacks as Air Defense Activates

Kyiv is on high alert as air defense systems engage following reports of multiple drones approaching the city from the north. Monitors detected a significant number of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeting the Ukrainian capital.

Authorities have issued warnings about potential missile launches from at least six locations in Russia and occupied territories. The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the threat, announcing at 21:17 that hostile drones were detected in the vicinity of Boryspil, heading towards Kyiv.

The Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA) also alerted residents to the risk of ballistic missile strikes. In a statement, they declared, “Attention! An air alert has been declared in Kyiv due to the threat of ballistic weapon use by the enemy.”

Timur Tkachенко, head of the KMVA, emphasized the ongoing danger posed by enemy drones, advising the public to prepare for potential loud noises as the situation unfolds.

Kyiv is currently facing a heightened threat from drone attacks, prompting air defense measures and public alerts regarding potential missile strikes. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as multiple UAVs approach the city.
