Explosions were reported in Kyiv on the morning of April 24 as hostile drones targeted the Ukrainian capital. Air defense forces were actively engaged in intercepting the threats.
According to the city’s mayor, explosions were heard in the Obolon district as air defense units responded to the incoming drones.
Timur Tkachenk, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, urged residents to stay in shelters for their safety. He stated, “There are hostile targets over Kyiv. Please remain in shelters until the all-clear is given.”
The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the presence of enemy drones approaching the city, indicating that a group of unmanned aerial vehicles was on course for Kyiv.
The threat of an aerial attack remains high as the situation develops.
