Drone Attacks Target Multiple Regions in Russia

In the early hours of April 29, several regions in Russia experienced drone attacks, leading to significant disruptions and safety alerts. Notably, a series of explosions were reported in Dzerzhinsk, located in the Nizhny Novgorod region, prompting immediate action from local authorities.

Residents of Dzerzhinsk reported hearing sirens followed by multiple explosions across various parts of the city. In response to the threat, officials declared a drone alert for the area, indicating heightened concern over potential further attacks.

As a precaution, Nizhny Novgorod Airport has implemented temporary restrictions, halting all incoming and outgoing flights. The airport’s closure reflects the seriousness of the situation, although no official reports regarding the attack’s aftermath have been released yet.

In addition to Dzerzhinsk, the Volgograd and Lipetsk regions also reported incidents related to drone activity. In Volgograd, a private residence was damaged, and a local resident sustained injuries due to the attack. Authorities in Lipetsk have also issued warnings about the presence of drones, although details regarding the extent of the attacks are still being clarified.

Drone attacks on April 29 have affected multiple regions in Russia, particularly Dzerzhinsk and Volgograd, causing injuries and flight disruptions. Authorities are investigating the incidents as safety alerts remain in place.
