China has responded to allegations from the European Union regarding the training of Russian soldiers for combat in Ukraine. The remarks were made by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian during a briefing in Beijing.
Lin dismissed the EU’s claims as “baseless and purely slanderous,” rejecting the assertions made by EU representatives without further elaboration.
In contrast, EU Foreign Affairs Chief Josep Borrell has stated that the bloc has confirmed evidence of Chinese military personnel training Russian troops for operations in Ukraine. He indicated that the EU possesses relevant information supporting this assertion.
