In recent days, Ukrainian drones have launched multiple attacks on various sites in occupied Crimea, marking a significant escalation in hostilities. Reports from Ukrainian monitoring channels indicate explosions were heard in cities including Feodosia, Kerch, Krasnoperekopsk, and near Shcholkine.
According to the channel Supernova+, drones specifically targeted an oil depot in the port of Kerch, as well as the TES-Terminal facility for oil product transshipment and storage, and the Caucasus port on the Russian side of the Kerch Strait. Satellite imagery shared by the channel “Krymskyi Viter” shows new fire outbreaks at the oil terminal in the Caucasus port.
Additionally, reports from Telegram channels referencing NASA’s FIRMS service and satellite images indicate fires at the “Nasosna-2” substation, the Southern railway station in Kerch, and a thermal power plant in the Arshyntseve area.
This week’s attacks follow a previous strike on Kerch and the Caucasus port on June 21. In the aftermath, the occupying authorities in Crimea reported a shortage of gasoline and issues with electricity supply, leading to the cancellation of children’s summer camp visits and the imposition of other restrictions. As of now, the Russian administration has not commented on the latest strikes, and no casualties have been reported.
The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have destroyed 141 Ukrainian drones, including those over Crimea. However, they have not disclosed how many drones were able to evade interception.
As of this writing, Ukrainian military officials have not released new information regarding the outcomes of their strikes on the occupied territory.
Recent drone attacks by Ukraine on Crimean infrastructure highlight an intensifying conflict. The strikes have targeted key facilities, leading to reports of shortages and restrictions in the region.
