Air Raid Alerts and Explosions Reported in Occupied Crimea

Air raid alerts were issued in occupied Crimea at 8:32 AM, following two previous alerts during the night. Reports of explosions, the activation of Russian air defense systems, and fires emerged from various regions of the peninsula.

Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Russian-appointed head of Sevastopol, confirmed that four drones were intercepted in the Balaklava and Fiolent areas.

Traffic across the Crimean Bridge was temporarily halted, as reported by a Telegram channel monitoring the situation.

According to the occupation authorities, the attacks resulted in four fatalities and twenty-eight injuries.

The military partisan group ‘Atesh’ indicated that air defense systems were active in Simferopol and noted the presence of drones over Balaklava, which were reportedly headed toward Feodosia and Kerch.

Eyewitness accounts shared by the Telegram channel ‘Crimean Wind’ indicated that the first explosions and gunfire were heard in Krasnoperekopsk and Nyzhnohirske. Additional reports of explosions and gunfire came from Armyansk, Feodosia, and Cape Tarkhankut, with the first explosion in Kerch occurring around the same time. Following midnight, significant explosions were recorded near Simferopol, and similar sounds were reported in Sevastopol.

The monitoring group ‘Crimean Wind’ reported a fire at the terminal in Kerch port, as well as incidents at the ‘Kavkaz’ port, fires at Russian air defense positions near the village of Kurortne, and at a railway battalion in Kerch and the Chongar Bridge.

Recent air raid alerts and explosions in occupied Crimea have resulted in casualties and damage to infrastructure. The situation remains under close observation as authorities report ongoing military activity in the region.
