The Ukrainian Media Institute (IMI) has published its latest “white list” of reputable online media outlets, which now includes Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty’s Ukrainian service. This list, updated biannually, recognizes media organizations that adhere to professional journalism standards at a rate of at least 95%.
A total of 18 outlets have been included in this round of evaluations, demonstrating a commitment to quality journalism even amid ongoing challenges. The following media organizations made the cut:

According to IMI’s analysis, these selected outlets achieved an average compliance rate of approximately 96% with professional journalism standards. Oksana Romanyuk, the director of IMI, commented on the findings, stating, “The fact that 18 media outlets maintain a standard of over 95% illustrates that quality journalism exists in Ukraine, even in the fifth year of full-scale war, despite significant challenges and the exhaustion faced by Ukrainian newsrooms.”
For its monitoring process, IMI selects 50 of the most popular national online media outlets based on SimilarWeb data and its own previous assessments. The evaluation involves three stages, including checks for harmful content, misinformation, and black PR. Outlets are also assessed for balance, accuracy, the separation of facts from commentary, and the presence of transparency, sexism, and hate speech.
The Ukrainian Media Institute has released an updated list of 18 online media outlets that meet high journalistic standards. This recognition underscores the resilience of quality journalism in Ukraine amid ongoing challenges.
