Zelensky and Trump Discuss War Negotiations in Phone Call

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and former U.S. President Donald Trump engaged in a phone conversation on June 14. During the call, Zelensky congratulated Trump on his 80th birthday and discussed ongoing negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.

Dmytro Lytvyn, an advisor to Zelensky on communications, confirmed the details to reporters. The discussion lasted approximately 30 to 35 minutes and focused on the diplomatic efforts necessary to conclude the conflict with Russia. Lytvyn described the call as “substantive” and indicated that Zelensky would provide more details soon.

In related news, French President Emmanuel Macron has invited leaders from the Middle East, including Zelensky, to the upcoming G7 summit scheduled to take place in Évian, France, from June 15 to 17. Trump is also expected to attend the summit.
