Intense Fighting Continues on Eastern Front as Russian Forces Suffer Heavy Losses

On June 13, Ukrainian forces reported a significant escalation in combat, with 229 clashes occurring throughout the day. The Russian military focused its efforts on the Lyman, Pokrovsk, and Hulyaipole directions, resulting in the loss of 1,440 troops.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided these updates in their morning report on June 14. According to the report, Russian forces conducted 127 airstrikes, deploying 391 guided bombs. They also utilized 9,192 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,001 artillery attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 112 strikes from multiple rocket launch systems.

Locations such as Pavlivka, Pustohorod, Luzhky, and Brusky in Sumy Oblast were among those targeted by Russian airstrikes.

Ukrainian aviation, missile troops, and artillery successfully struck twelve areas where Russian troops were concentrated, destroying two artillery systems and a command post for unmanned aerial vehicles.

Overall, Russian military losses on June 13 included five tanks, fourteen armored fighting vehicles, 57 artillery systems, three multiple rocket launchers, one air defense unit, 13 ground robotic complexes, 2,132 drones, and various vehicles.

Frontline Situation

In the Northeastern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, two clashes were reported, with Russian forces conducting three airstrikes using nine guided bombs and launching 82 attacks on Ukrainian positions and civilian areas, including six from multiple rocket launch systems.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, seven attacks were recorded near the towns of Vovchansk, Izbytske, and Zybyne, as well as towards Lyman.

Ukrainian defenses successfully thwarted a Russian advance attempt in the Kupiansk direction towards Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops made 17 attempts to penetrate Ukrainian defenses near Novyi Myr, Drobysheve, Lyman, Dibrova, Torske, Ozernyi, and towards Shiykivka, Novoiehorivka, and Nadiya.

In the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces launched 14 assaults around Zakitne and towards Mykolaivka, Kryva Luka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

No offensive actions were reported in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces conducted 14 attacks near Pleshchiyivka, Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillya, and Illinivka.

Ukrainian defenders halted 39 assault attempts in the Pokrovsk direction around Vasylivka, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Novopidhorodne, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udačne, Novopavlivka, and towards Bilitske, Dorožne, Hanniivka, Nove Shakhove, Kucheryv Yar, and Serhiivka.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, one attack was recorded near Voronoe.

In the Hulyaipole direction, 32 attacks were noted around Rybne, Olenokostyantynivka, Hulyaipole, Ternuvate, Zaliznychne, Verkhnya Tersa, Charivne, and towards Hirke, Dobropillia, and Vozdvizhivka.

Ukrainian forces successfully repelled three Russian attempts to advance in the Orikhiv direction near Stepove, Stepnohirs’k, and towards Prymorsk.

In the Dnipro direction, Ukrainian units stopped one attack towards the Antonivskyi Bridge.

No signs of Russian offensive formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissya directions.

The latest reports indicate a substantial increase in combat activity on the Eastern Front, with Ukrainian forces inflicting heavy losses on Russian troops. Despite ongoing assaults from various directions, Ukrainian defenses have effectively countered many of these attacks.
