Ukraine is expected to experience a continuation of wet weather with periodic rain in the coming days, according to meteorologist Vitaliy Postryhan. The Azores high pressure system, typically associated with stable summer heat, has not yet fully established itself over the continent.
However, the influence of this system is anticipated to strengthen on June 10 and 11, leading to predominantly sunny and dry conditions. Daytime temperatures are projected to rise to between 27°C and 29°C, while nights will remain comfortably warm, ranging from 13°C to 18°C.
This pleasant weather is expected to be short-lived. By Friday, a barometric trough moving in from the northwest will allow cooler Atlantic air to return. This shift will activate atmospheric fronts, increasing the likelihood of significant rain and thunderstorms.
“From Friday, we will feel cooler air, and rain will continue to affect us,” Postryhan summarized.
Ongoing Rainfall in Ukraine
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center also confirms that rain will persist across the country. Meteorologists indicate that the weather over the next few days will be influenced by atmospheric fronts and moist warm air.
On June 10 and 11, brief showers with thunderstorms are expected in the western, southern, and eastern regions. By June 12, localized short-term rain will spread across nearly the entire territory of Ukraine.
