On June 8, Ukraine secured its seventh tranche of funding from the European Union, amounting to €2.8 billion under the Ukraine Facility program. This information was confirmed by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko via Telegram.
“Ukraine has received the seventh tranche of funding from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility, totaling €2.8 billion. After accounting for the repayment of previously provided advance financing, the actual amount received in the state budget is €2.6 billion. The total funding under this mechanism has exceeded €29.4 billion,” Svyrydenko stated.
The funds are earmarked for priority expenditures within the state budget, including social and humanitarian needs. Svyrydenko noted that Ukraine has successfully met 11 indicators of the reform plan, which encompasses reforms in governance, economic policy, energy, digitalization, and the rule of law. By the end of May, Kyiv had implemented 86 measures of the plan, with an additional 65 still in progress.
She further highlighted that some conditions for future tranches have been fulfilled ahead of schedule, allowing the country to receive additional compensation for early compliance with reform commitments.
“The government continues to systematically implement necessary changes to ensure economic stability, rebuild the country, and move closer to EU membership,” the Prime Minister added.
This development underscores Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to secure financial assistance while advancing critical reforms.
Ukraine's recent receipt of €2.8 billion from the EU reflects its ongoing financial support and commitment to implementing vital reforms. The funding aims to address key budgetary needs while facilitating the country's path toward EU integration.
