A serious traffic accident occurred on the Red Kalyna Avenue in Kyiv, involving a passenger car and a truck, according to local police reports.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of an Audi lost control and veered into oncoming traffic, resulting in a collision with a truck. The driver of the Audi sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities have dispatched a investigative team from the capital’s police department to the scene, along with patrol officers, to gather evidence and assess the situation.
This incident follows another tragic accident that took place on June 5 in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, where a 49-year-old driver crashed into an underground passage, resulting in multiple fatalities. The crash occurred around 5:30 PM, claiming the lives of two men, a woman, and a 12-year-old boy, while three others were injured.
Among the deceased were two police officers, Senior Lieutenant Dmytro Bondarchuk and Lieutenant Denys Budchenko, who were on duty at the time of the incident.
