The average salary in Ukraine has exceeded 30,000 hryvnias, reaching 30,515 hryvnias in April 2026. This marks a 0.5% increase from March, according to official data.
In terms of regional differences, Kyiv boasts the highest average salary at 48,003 hryvnias, followed closely by Kyiv Oblast, where the average salary is 30,584 hryvnias.
Conversely, the lowest salaries are reported in Kirovohrad Oblast at 21,199 hryvnias and Chernivtsi Oblast at 21,687 hryvnias.
Sector-wise, employees in the information and telecommunications industry enjoy the highest wages, with an average salary of 77,861 hryvnias in April. In stark contrast, those working in the arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation sector receive the lowest average salary of 19,855 hryvnias.
Additionally, as of May 1, 2026, Ukraine’s wage arrears amount to 3.7 billion hryvnias, highlighting ongoing challenges in salary disbursement.
