The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has successfully struck the 16th Center for Radioelectronic Intelligence of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) using drones. This facility is located in the Temryuk District of Krasnodar Krai.
According to the SBU, this command point was utilized by Russian forces for directing missile and drone strikes against Ukraine, as well as for intercepting signals from foreign satellites. The drone attack resulted in significant damage to critical components of the center.
The SBU emphasized that operations of this nature are strategically important, as they diminish Russia’s ability to control airspace, coordinate air defense systems, and conduct strikes on Ukrainian territory.
Targeting radioelectronic intelligence centers enhances the operational capabilities of Ukrainian drones and complicates Russia’s defense of military assets deep within its territory.
Earlier reports indicated that in May 2026, Ukrainian drones had devastated an FSB headquarters in Kherson, resulting in the elimination of approximately 100 Russian personnel. The strike on the 16th FSB center is not the first instance of Ukrainian forces reaching critical enemy targets far behind the front lines.
This month, operators from the 1st Separate Center for Drone Systems, in collaboration with the SBU, destroyed a training center for Russian drone pilots affiliated with the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences.
The SBU's drone strike on a Russian electronic warfare center marks a significant advancement in Ukraine's military capabilities, disrupting Russian operations. This follows a series of successful attacks on key Russian military infrastructure.
