Lukashenko and Macron Discuss Regional Issues in Phone Call

The press service of Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko announced that he spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron on May 24. According to their statement, the call was initiated by the French side.

The brief announcement from the administration of the unrecognized Belarusian president indicated that the two leaders discussed “regional issues” along with the relationship between Minsk and the European Union, particularly France. No additional details regarding the conversation were provided.
