Ukrainians can expect a shift in weather patterns next week, as forecasters predict a significant drop in temperatures. According to meteorologist Natalka Didenko, the cooler air will begin to arrive mid-week, marking a transition from the current warm conditions.
On May 24, much of Ukraine will enjoy dry and sunny weather, particularly in the western, northern, and central regions. However, eastern areas, including Dnipropetrovsk and parts of the south, are likely to experience rain and thunderstorms, with Odesa seeing less precipitation.
Daytime temperatures on Sunday are expected to range from 20 to 24 degrees Celsius, while the eastern and southeastern parts may reach 25 to 28 degrees.
Weather Outlook for Kyiv
In the capital, Kyiv, residents can look forward to a break from stormy weather on May 24, with plenty of sunshine predicted. Didenko forecasts temperatures in the city to hover between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center also confirms that cooler air from the Baltic region will soon influence the weather in Kyiv, signaling the end of the recent heatwave.
Over the next four days, elevated atmospheric pressure will dominate the Kyiv region, leading to minimal rainfall. Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to 12 to 14 degrees, while daytime highs will remain between 20 and 24 degrees.
However, starting Wednesday, conditions may deteriorate as cold air from the White Sea moves in, bringing rain, increased winds, and below-average temperatures. By May 27, temperatures in the capital could fall to around 19 degrees.
