Ukraine Offers Support to Baltic States Amid Russian Drone Interference

Ukraine has expressed its willingness to assist Baltic nations in preventing incidents involving drones, following confirmed Russian interference in recent cases in Latvia.

According to the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, investigations into the recent drone crashes in Latvia have revealed that Russian electronic warfare systems are intentionally redirecting Ukrainian drones away from their intended targets in Russia towards neighboring countries.

The Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, has discussed the situation with his Latvian counterpart, Edgars Rinkēvičs, emphasizing the need for collaboration to enhance regional security.

Ukraine is prepared to deploy specialists to help safeguard the airspace of Latvia, Finland, and other Baltic states. Kuleba stated, “Our goal is to ensure maximum security for Latvia and its Baltic neighbors, primarily through effective countermeasures against Russian aggression and by supporting the strengthening of airspace defenses for our allies.”

He further reiterated Ukraine’s readiness for direct cooperation to prevent such provocations in the future, highlighting the importance of a united front against external threats.

Ukraine has confirmed its readiness to assist Baltic countries in enhancing airspace security following Russian interference in drone incidents. The collaboration aims to counteract Russian aggression and prevent future provocations.
