Cold Snap Expected in Kyiv as Temperatures Plummet This Week

Kyiv is set to experience its coldest day of the week on Wednesday, April 29, with temperatures dropping significantly. The forecast indicates nighttime lows reaching just +2°C, with the possibility of ground frost.

During the day, temperatures are expected to peak at only +9°C, accompanied by overcast skies with occasional breaks of sun but no precipitation. Winds will ease to 5-10 m/s, while atmospheric pressure is anticipated to gradually rise to between 750 and 752 mmHg.

In Lutsk, the forecast is similar, with nighttime lows at -2°C and daytime temperatures reaching +9°C, also expected to see light rain. Rivne will mirror these conditions, while Ternopil is predicted to have a nighttime low of -2°C and daytime highs of +10°C, with partly cloudy skies and light rain.

Further south, in Uzhhorod, temperatures will range from -2°C at night to +13°C during the day, featuring variable cloudiness. Meanwhile, Chernihiv will experience nighttime lows of -2°C and daytime highs of +10°C, with similar weather patterns.

In the capital, Kyiv, residents can expect a chilly start to the day but will see a gradual warming trend over the weekend, with temperatures potentially rising to +15°C in the coming days.

  • Vinnytsia: Nighttime -2°C, daytime +10°C, partly cloudy with light rain.
  • Odesa: Nighttime +5°C, daytime +13°C, partly cloudy with light rain.

  • Dnipro: Nighttime -2°C, daytime +12°C, partly cloudy with light rain.
  • Simferopol: Nighttime +3°C, daytime +14°C, partly cloudy with light rain.

As the week progresses, many regions are expected to see similar weather patterns, with fluctuating temperatures and occasional rain showers. Residents are advised to prepare for the colder conditions ahead.
