Ukrainian Forces Report Significant Russian Military Losses Amid Ongoing Clashes

On April 25, Ukrainian military officials reported 149 combat engagements along the front lines, with Russian forces suffering substantial losses estimated at 960 personnel.

The update from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, released on April 26, detailed that Russian military operations were most intense in the Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole directions.

According to the report, Russian forces launched two missile strikes using 50 missiles, conducted 66 air strikes, and dropped 203 guided bombs. Additionally, they deployed 9,658 kamikaze drones and executed 3,206 shelling incidents targeting both populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 28 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.

The report specified that air strikes were carried out in several locations, including Rozivka and Oleksandrivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as well as various sites in Zaporizhzhia Oblast such as Verkhnya Tersa, Kopani, and Huliaipole.

Ukrainian defense forces responded effectively, striking seven areas where Russian infantry was concentrated, three drone command points, a command and observation post, two artillery systems, and one multiple launch rocket system.

Overall, the losses for Russian forces on April 25 included 960 military personnel, five armored combat vehicles, 76 artillery systems, one air defense unit, 30 cruise missiles, 2,229 drones, and 160 vehicles.

Frontline Situation

In the Northeastern and Kursk directions, Russian forces made three attacks on Ukrainian defense positions, conducting 95 shelling incidents, three of which involved multiple launch rocket systems. They also executed six air strikes using 12 guided bombs.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian troops attempted to storm Ukrainian positions eight times near the settlements of Starytsia, Veterynarne, Prylipka, Synelnykove, Zemlianky, and Zybyn.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian military units launched eight attacks in areas including Petropavlivka, Radkivka, Novoosynove, Kupiansk, and Kucheryvka.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled nine attempts by Russian troops to advance near the settlements of Dibrivka, Lyman, Novyi Myr, Stavky, and Serednie.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenses halted three attempts by Russian forces to advance in the areas of Rai-Oleksandrivka, Ozerne, and Yampil.

No attacks were reported in the Kramatorsk direction on the same day.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces conducted 13 attacks near Pleshchiyivka, Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Predtechyne, and Illinivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 34 assault attempts around the settlements of Novopavlivka, Zatyshok, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Bilitske, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, and Novopidhorodne.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attacked six times in the areas of Oleksandrhrad, Sichneve, Vorone, Ternove, and Zlahoda.

In the Huliaipole direction, there were 18 attacks in the vicinity of Staroukrainka, Huliaipole, Zelenе, Sviatopetrivka, Huliaipilske, and Charivne, as well as towards Kopani and Novoselivka.

No attacks were recorded in the Orikhiv direction during the day.

In the Dnipro direction, Ukrainian units repelled four attacks near the Bilohrudyi Island and Antonivskyi Bridge.

No signs of offensive formations from Russian forces were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.

Ukrainian military reports indicate a significant number of clashes with Russian forces, leading to heavy losses for the latter. The ongoing conflict remains concentrated in several key regions, with both sides continuing their military operations.
