In the early hours of April 25, Russian forces executed a combined assault on critical infrastructure across Ukraine, deploying drones and missiles. The primary focus of the attack was the city of Dnipro, with additional strikes reported in Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa, and Kyiv regions.
The Ukrainian Air Force’s radio-technical troops recorded a total of 666 aerial attack assets, which included 47 missiles and 619 drones. Among the missiles were:
- 12 ballistic Iskander-M/S-400 missiles launched from Millerovo, Kursk, and Eysk in Russia, as well as from the temporarily occupied Crimea;
- 29 Kh-101 cruise missiles fired from the Caspian Sea;
- 1 Iskander-K cruise missile launched from Bryansk, Russia;
- 5 Kalibr cruise missiles also from the Caspian Sea;
- 619 strike drones, including types such as Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas, originating from various locations in Russia and Crimea, with around 400 identified as Shahed drones.
As of 8:00 AM, Ukrainian air defense systems had reportedly intercepted or neutralized 610 targets, including 30 missiles and 580 drones of various types. This included:
- 26 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 4 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 580 enemy drones of different models.
Reports indicated that 13 missiles and 36 strike drones hit 23 locations, with debris from intercepted drones landing in 9 areas. Information on four missiles remains under verification, and no data has been received regarding their impact.
The Ukrainian Air Force issued a warning, stating, “The attack continues! Several new groups of strike drones have entered Ukrainian airspace. Do not ignore the alerts.”
Additionally, the overnight strikes resulted in significant damage in Dnipro, where 14 individuals were injured, including a 9-year-old boy. A four-story residential building suffered partial destruction, and industrial facilities, private homes, vehicles, and a store were also affected.
In Kharkiv, the Kyiv and Shevchenkivskyi districts experienced multiple hits, with one strike occurring near a residential building. Transportation infrastructure was impacted, including the destruction of a public transport stop and damage to a gas pipeline.
Further damage was reported in the Saltivskyi and Nemishlianskyi districts, where private houses were damaged and fires broke out. A drone strike in the Nemishlianskyi district injured a 1.5-year-old boy, who was treated for acute stress reaction.
