Ukraine’s Air Defense Missile Supplies Running Low, Zelensky Warns

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a stark warning regarding the country’s air defense missile supplies, indicating they could be depleted at any moment. He emphasized that the availability of these crucial resources is contingent on the frequency and intensity of attacks faced by Ukraine.

During a recent statement, Zelensky noted, “The missiles for air defense may run out any week. We do not have a large stockpile, and supplies are constantly in transit.” This urgent message highlights the precarious situation Ukraine finds itself in as it continues to defend against ongoing assaults.

Zelensky revealed that he is actively engaged in seeking additional missile supplies on a daily basis. He stated that the search for more air defense resources is a primary focus of his current diplomatic efforts.

Despite having developed various systems and software to counter threats, Zelensky pointed out that Ukraine lacks advanced anti-ballistic systems like the Patriot. He acknowledged the potential for Ukraine to develop its own systems but stressed that this would require more time and collaboration with European nations.

The president reiterated that establishing a domestic air defense production capability is a strategic priority for Ukraine, underscoring the need for self-sufficiency in this critical area.

President Zelensky warns that Ukraine's air defense missile supplies are critically low and may run out soon. He emphasizes the urgent need for additional resources and the strategic importance of developing domestic air defense systems.
