Ukraine’s Foreign Minister has called for the urgent removal of what he described as “Orbán’s blockade,” which has hindered critical financial support for the country. This appeal comes in the wake of recent elections in Hungary that have opened new opportunities for collaboration between Europe and Ukraine.
During discussions with the foreign ministers of Austria, Iceland, and Luxembourg, the Ukrainian minister emphasized the need for swift action. The priority remains securing aid and increasing pressure on aggressors.
“We exchanged views with our European colleagues: the foreign ministers of Austria, Iceland, and Luxembourg. Everyone recognizes the opportunities for strengthening Europe that have emerged after the elections in Hungary. We discussed the urgent unblocking of critical decisions: 90 billion euros, the 20th sanctions package, and the opening of six negotiation clusters,” stated the minister.
The minister urged European partners to act decisively, indicating that the time for hesitation has passed.
“It is time to lift not only the Hormuz blockade but also Orbán’s blockade. This will benefit everyone,” he emphasized.

In addition to these discussions, the forum also addressed Ukraine-Turkey relations, with key outcomes from talks including:
- Exploration of joint projects in defense and energy;

- Potential organization of a leaders’ meeting in Turkey to advance peace;
- Development of a trilateral format involving Ukraine, Syria, and Turkey for new logistical pathways.
The minister noted that Ukraine’s defense industry is currently attracting significant interest, with its technologies making the country appealing to Gulf nations, marking a new level of international engagement.
The Antalya Forum served as a platform for Ukraine’s diplomatic outreach across continents. The minister conducted numerous meetings with representatives from Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
