U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed strong disapproval of a recent series of Russian attacks on Ukraine, which resulted in the deaths of 19 individuals and left over 100 injured. The comments were made in response to a question from a correspondent at Radio Free Europe.
In his remarks, Trump described the situation as “horrific,” highlighting the severity of the violence that occurred during the night of April 16. The attacks involved a combination of ground-launched and air-launched missiles, as well as drone strikes.
According to reports, from 7 a.m. on April 15 to 7 a.m. on April 16, Russian forces executed two waves of coordinated assaults across various regions of Ukraine. During this period, they launched a total of 44 missiles and deployed 659 drones of different types.
Ukrainian air defense systems reportedly intercepted 667 hostile targets, including 31 missiles, underscoring the ongoing conflict’s intensity and the challenges faced by Ukrainian forces in protecting their territory.
