As Ukraine braces for a mix of rain and warming temperatures, meteorologists are predicting a shift in weather patterns starting Monday, April 13. While the night may still bring chilly conditions and potential frost in some areas, daytime temperatures are set to rise.
According to meteorologist Natalka Didenko, rain is expected primarily in southern and central regions, while other parts of Ukraine may experience little to no precipitation or only light showers. “The wind will come from the east at a moderate pace,” she noted on her social media.
During the night, temperatures are expected to hover between +1 to +4 degrees Celsius, with frost possible in the outskirts. However, daytime temperatures will finally begin to warm up, reaching between +10 to +13 degrees Celsius, and even up to +15 degrees in the eastern regions.
In the capital city of Kyiv, Didenko indicated that no significant rainfall is anticipated. Nighttime temperatures will be similar to the rest of the country, while daytime highs are expected to range from +8 to +10 degrees Celsius.
Didenko also mentioned that the frost will dissipate throughout the week, leading to warmer days ahead.
Forecast for Kyiv and Other Regions
Previously reported by UNIAN, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has outlined two distinct weather periods for Kyiv from April 11 to 15. The first phase will feature cold, rainy conditions, while the latter will bring warmer, dry weather.
From April 11 to 13, residents can expect chilly temperatures with nighttime lows dropping to between 0 and -2 degrees Celsius in Kyiv, and even lower in the Kyiv region. Occasional rain is likely during this period.
Conversely, April 14 and 15 are predicted to be more pleasant, with no frost or rain. Nighttime temperatures will range from +1 to +6 degrees, while daytime highs may reach between +11 and +16 degrees Celsius.
