The Orthodox Church of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Vladyslava Molchanova Foundation, has distributed 12,000 Easter breads to Ukrainian soldiers stationed at the front lines. This initiative aims to provide spiritual support to military personnel during the ongoing conflict.
The blessing of the Easter breads took place at St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv, officiated by Metropolitan Epiphanius, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Following the blessing, the breads will be delivered directly to combat units, particularly in the eastern and southern regions of the country.
Church officials emphasize that this effort is a vital aspect of offering moral support to the troops, especially in the current wartime context. The initiative is part of a long-standing tradition of aiding Ukrainian defenders, which has been ongoing since 2014.
Vladyslava Molchanova expressed hope that this tradition will soon evolve into a new one, where soldiers will be welcomed home to a peaceful and prosperous Ukraine.
