Russian Drone Attack Targets Konotop, Causing Damage and Injuries

On April 10, Russian drones struck the city of Konotop in the Sumy region, resulting in fires and damage to residential buildings and vehicles. The initial explosions occurred around 4:30 AM, according to local officials.

The mayor reported that one drone hit the city center, igniting an administrative building. Subsequently, another drone impacted a five-story residential building, leading to fires in several apartments and damaging nearby cars.

As a result of the attack, multiple residential units and civilian vehicles were affected. Additionally, gas networks in one of the central districts were damaged, leaving several apartment buildings without gas supply.

Mayor Artem Semenikhin confirmed that one individual sustained minor injuries and received medical attention. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no fatalities.

Furthermore, four residents were evacuated from the damaged building, and inspections of the affected housing are ongoing. By 8:00 AM, emergency services had extinguished all fires, and municipal workers were addressing the aftermath of the attack.

The mayor also shared photographs depicting the destruction caused by the drone strikes.

A drone attack on Konotop resulted in significant damage to residential areas and vehicles, with one reported injury. Emergency services have since managed to control the situation, and evacuations are underway.
