Ukrainian Drones Target Oil Terminal in Crimea, Causing Fires

On April 8, Ukrainian drones launched an attack on the “Morskoy Oil Terminal” in Feodosia, Crimea, resulting in significant fires at the facility. This incident marks the latest in a series of drone strikes aimed at disrupting Russian military operations in the region.

Satellite images from Planet Labs, obtained by the investigative project Schemes, show visible flames and smoke rising from the oil terminal. As of midday, the fire was still ongoing, indicating the scale of the damage inflicted by the drone strike.

Robert Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian drone forces, confirmed the success of the attack and shared footage of the operation. Reports from Ukrainian monitoring channels corroborated the strike, highlighting its strategic importance.

While the Russian authorities have not officially acknowledged the attack, the occupation administration in Feodosia has announced traffic restrictions on several streets due to the ongoing situation.

Since the onset of the full-scale invasion by Russia, various military and logistical targets within both Russian territory and occupied regions have been subjected to aerial assaults. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has consistently stated that these operations are part of a broader strategy to diminish the combat capabilities of Russian forces and to compel Russia to cease its military aggression against Ukraine.
