On April 5, 2026, the oil terminal “Sheshcharis” in Russia’s Krasnodar region sustained significant damage due to a drone strike. Key infrastructure elements responsible for oil loading and unloading were affected, including stands at docks No. 1, 1A, and 2, as well as stands at docks No. 6 and 7.
Additionally, the oil distribution and unloading pipeline system was reported damaged. Three tanks at the “Grushovaya” oil base, which supports the operations of the “Sheshcharis” terminal, were also confirmed to be hit.
The General Staff of Ukraine confirmed that two strike drones targeted a Russian frigate of the project 11356R type, known as “Burevestnik,” which is equipped to carry Kalibr cruise missiles. The extent of damage to the vessel is currently being assessed.
Moreover, on the night of April 7, Ukrainian defense forces successfully struck Russian drone control points in the Zaporizhzhia region and in the town of Udaloy in Donetsk. Reports indicated damage to enemy troop concentrations in the areas of Strogonivka, Krasnohirske in Zaporizhzhia, and Rodynske in Donetsk.
The General Staff emphasized that the defense forces are actively working to undermine the military and economic capabilities of Russian forces, aiming to compel Russia to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine.
In related developments, earlier reports indicated that the Russian frigate “Admiral Grigorovich” was also targeted in a strike at the port of Novorossiysk. On April 6, a drilling rig named “Sivash” was hit as well. Just a day prior, Ukrainian forces launched attacks on strategic Russian facilities, leading to a large fire at the “Lukoil” refinery in Nizhny Novgorod, which supplies fuel to the Moscow region.
