In the early hours of April 6, Russian military forces conducted a significant drone assault on Ukraine, deploying a total of 141 strike drones, including models such as Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas. The attack originated from various locations, including Bryansk, Kursk, and Crimea.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, their defense systems successfully intercepted 114 of these drones during the operation. The engagement spanned multiple regions, with confirmed strikes occurring at 17 different sites across the country.
“The enemy launched 141 attack drones, with approximately 80 identified as Shahed, from several directions including Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk,” the report stated.
By 8:00 AM, Ukrainian air defense units, including aviation, missile troops, and electronic warfare divisions, had neutralized the majority of the incoming threats. Additionally, debris from the intercepted drones was reported to have fallen in 13 locations.
“The attack is ongoing, and several enemy drones remain in the airspace. Please adhere to safety protocols,” the Air Force warned.
