The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported 230 combat engagements over the past day, with significant activity concentrated in the Pokrovsk and Hulyaipole directions. This information was disclosed in a morning briefing by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on April 3.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 58 assault attempts by Russian forces in areas including Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udačne, Muravka, Molodetske, and Filia, as well as towards Bilitske, Shevchenko, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka. Meanwhile, in the Hulyaipole direction, there were 40 attacks directed at settlements such as Olenokostyantynivka, Staroukrainka, Pryluky, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Sviatopetrivka, Dobropillia, Solodke, Myrne, Zelenе, Hulyaipilske, and Charivne.
Additionally, the command reported 21 assaults in the Oleksandrivka direction, 19 in the Kostiantynivka direction, and 13 in the Orikhiv direction. Combat operations were also ongoing in the Northern Slobozhansky, Kursk, Southern Slobozhansky, Kupiansk, Lyman, Sloviansk, and Dnipro directions.
On April 1, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, stated that the Pokrovsk direction remains the most intense along the entire 1,200-kilometer active front.
According to his remarks, Ukrainian defense forces recently halted Russian advances in several settlements near the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration, particularly around Hryshyne, Myrnohrad, and Tavriisk.
In an interview with Radio Svoboda on March 19, Ruslan Habinet, commander of the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, which is engaged in operations in the Pokrovsk direction, indicated that defense units continue to control specific areas of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk.
Military analysts have noted an escalation in combat activities along the front lines of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict, attributed in part to improved weather conditions.
