Ukrainian Forces Report 213 Combat Clashes Amid Ongoing Conflict

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 213 combat encounters since the start of the day, reflecting continued military activity across various fronts.

According to the report, nearly a quarter of these clashes occurred in the Pokrovsk direction, where Russian forces launched 49 attacks. Efforts to advance were noted in areas including Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, Filia, and towards Bilytske, Shevchenkove, Novopidhirne, and Novopavlivka. Two engagements are ongoing.

Intense fighting also persists in the Huliaipole direction, with 37 Russian attacks reported across ten settlements. In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attempted to improve their positions 21 times, while in the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian defense successfully repelled 15 assaults, with one engagement still in progress.

Increased activity from Russian troops was observed in the Orikhiv direction, where 13 attacks were conducted, a significant rise from the previous day. Clashes continue in the Northern Slobozhansky, Kursk, Southern Slobozhansky, Kupiansk, Lyman, Sloviansk, and Dnipro directions, although no attacks were reported in the Kramatorsk direction.

The General Staff noted that 146 combat encounters were recorded over the previous day, with the highest concentration in the Pokrovsk direction. Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated on April 1 that the Pokrovsk direction remains the most active front along the 1,200-kilometer stretch of conflict.

In the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration, Ukrainian forces recently halted Russian advances in several settlements, including near Hryshyne, Myrnohrad, and Tavriysk. In an interview with Radio Svoboda on March 19, Ruslan Habinet, commander of the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, indicated that defense units continue to control key areas of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk.

Military analysts have noted an escalation in combat operations in the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian conflict, attributed in part to improved weather conditions.

The Ukrainian military reported 213 combat encounters today, with significant activity in the Pokrovsk direction. Ongoing clashes highlight the sustained intensity of the conflict across multiple fronts.
