Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported that the Russian military is attempting to increase its assault activity, a move that has resulted in greater losses for Russian forces without disrupting Ukrainian operations.
In a briefing following a report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, Zelensky characterized the situation at the front as tense. He stated,
“Currently, the situation at the front is quite tense – the Russian army is trying to enhance its assault activity. However, this only leads to increased losses for them and does not disrupt our operations.”
Zelensky pointed out that Russia has failed to achieve its objectives in border areas such as Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk, frequently postponing its planned offensive actions. This indicates ongoing challenges for Russian forces in executing their military strategy.
On the southern front, Ukrainian units continue to carry out their assigned tasks effectively. Zelensky expressed gratitude to every soldier, sergeant, and officer for their efforts in the ongoing conflict.
During the meeting, the president also noted discussions regarding diplomatic responses to Russian actions, highlighting the multifaceted approach Ukraine is taking in addressing the situation.
