In the early hours of April 1, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv and several regions across Ukraine due to the threat of drone strikes by Russian forces.
The Ukrainian Air Force and the Kyiv City Military Administration confirmed the alert, stating, “An air raid alert has been issued in the capital due to the threat of enemy drones.” As of 4:42 AM, the alert extended to northern, central, eastern, and parts of western Ukraine.
Regions affected include Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk.
Authorities are urging residents to seek immediate shelter and remain there until the alert is lifted.
