Airstrike Hits Residential Area in Sloviansk, Injuring Civilians

In the early hours of March 31, an airstrike targeted a residential neighborhood in Sloviansk, resulting in significant damage and injuries. Over 20 private homes were affected, with reports confirming that a 12-year-old girl was among those wounded.

Local officials, including Mayor Vadym Lyakh, stated that the attack involved two 250-kilogram aerial bombs, known as FAB-250s, dropped by Russian military forces.

The strike specifically impacted the private sector, damaging at least 22 homes and three vehicles. By morning, reports indicated that three individuals had sustained injuries, and emergency medical assistance was provided to all affected.

The FAB-250 is a Soviet-era bomb designed for ground target destruction, weighing approximately 250 kilograms. It is utilized by aircraft and drones to deliver precise or mass strikes against infrastructure and military assets, demonstrating high effectiveness in attacks on buildings and open positions.

An airstrike in Sloviansk on March 31 resulted in injuries to civilians, including a child, and damaged numerous homes. Local authorities confirmed the use of heavy bombs in the attack.
