Ukrainian Forces Maintain Control in Grysheve Amid Ongoing Infiltration Attempts

The newly appointed commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Stanislav Luchanov, asserts that his unit continues to hold the village of Grysheve, located near Pokrovsk, despite regular infiltration attempts by enemy forces. He reported that more than 100 soldiers are stationed in the area.

Luchanov stated, “We have sufficient personnel in Grysheve itself. We also have positions even before Grysheve – from the direction of Pokrovsk, ahead of the industrial area. I will not disclose the exact number of troops in Grysheve, but it exceeds 100.” He emphasized that while enemy infiltration occurs, the village remains under Ukrainian control.

During a recent assessment, Luchanov showcased video footage from drones that confirmed the brigade’s positions in the area. He noted that operations are currently underway to clear the northern part of Grysheve while advancing southward, aiming to secure both flanks leading towards Pokrovsk. Luchanov refuted claims that Grysheve has been lost or that daily advances by enemy forces are occurring.

According to Luchanov, estimating the number of infiltrating enemy troops in Grysheve is challenging, but he approximated their presence to be between 20 and 50 Russian soldiers. On March 27, the 155th Brigade reported the elimination of 12 enemy combatants and at least one additional injury in the vicinity of the village. Daily enemy casualties in Grysheve reportedly range from 10 to 20.

The frontline in Grysheve, as described by the 155th Brigade, is situated at the outskirts of the village, contrasting with assessments from Ukrainian intelligence sources, which depict the line as running through the center of Grysheve.

Russian forces are attempting to infiltrate Grysheve from three directions: from the west along the E-50 road (Pavlohrad-Pokrovsk), from the east through fields and farms between Grysheve and Pokrovsk, and from the south, directly from Pokrovsk.

It is noteworthy that prior reports from the analytical project DeepState indicated that Russian troops had made advances into Ukrainian territory in Grysheve and had captured part of the village of Sofiivka, also located in the Donetsk region.

The 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade maintains control over Grysheve, despite ongoing infiltration attempts by Russian forces. Commander Stanislav Luchanov reported over 100 troops are present, with daily enemy casualties ranging from 10 to 20.
