The judges of Ukraine’s High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) have elected Igor Strogiy as the new head of the court, as announced by the court’s press service on March 25.
Strogiy’s term as president of VAKS will last for three years, according to the court’s regulations. Alongside him, Dmitro Mykhailenko has been appointed as the deputy head.
Igor Strogiy has served as a judge at VAKS since its establishment in 2019. Prior to this role, he was a judge at the Sharhorod District Court in the Vinnytsia region from 2012. He also has experience working as a legal advisor.
Dmitro Mykhailenko has been a judge at the Appellate Chamber of VAKS since its inception in 2019. Before his appointment, he practiced law and holds a doctorate in legal sciences.
Igor Strogiy has been elected as the head of the High Anti-Corruption Court in Ukraine, with a three-year term. Dmitro Mykhailenko will serve as his deputy, marking a continuation of experienced leadership within the court.
