In the early hours of March 25, Russian military forces targeted Ukraine with a significant drone strike involving 147 attack drones, including models such as Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas. This assault originated from multiple locations, including Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Gvardeyskoye in Crimea.
According to reports from the Ukrainian Air Force, air defense units successfully intercepted and neutralized 121 of these drones by 8:30 AM. The countermeasures involved various defense systems, including aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.
The attack resulted in 24 drones striking 18 different locations, with debris also falling in three areas. Authorities urged the public to remain vigilant as the situation continued to evolve, with additional enemy drones still in the airspace.
