Kyiv to End Heating Season on March 24 Amid Rising Temperatures

Kyiv’s municipal administration has announced that the heating season will conclude on March 24, 2023, in response to anticipated warmer weather conditions. This decision aims to promote the efficient use of energy resources.

Officials indicated that ceasing heating services will help residents avoid unnecessary charges as temperatures rise. The disconnection of heating for residential buildings will commence on the specified date.

However, social institutions such as hospitals, maternity wards, schools, and kindergartens will continue to receive heating services until individual requests from their management are processed.

Kyiv’s centralized heating system is the largest in Ukraine and ranks among the largest in Europe. The process of both initiating and concluding heating services typically requires approximately one week.

Kyiv's municipal authorities have decided to end the heating season on March 24, 2023, to optimize energy use as temperatures rise. Social institutions will retain heating based on specific requests.
