Ukrainian Forces Maintain Control Amid Russian Claims of Advances

Reports suggesting that Russian troops have made significant advances in the Kharkiv region, specifically in Vovchansk and Synkivka, have been dismissed by Ukrainian military officials. They assert that Ukrainian forces continue to hold their positions against ongoing attacks.

Military sources indicate that on the Southern Slobozhansky front, Russian forces launched assaults toward Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Zybyn, and Okhrimivka. However, these attempts were thwarted, with Ukrainian troops successfully neutralizing the attacking groups.

In Vovchansk, the enemy persists in efforts to breach defenses, yet Ukrainian forces remain steadfast in their positions. Officials emphasized that claims of Russian advancements in Vovchansk and Synkivka are inaccurate.

The situation along the Velykoburlutsk direction remains relatively unchanged, with Russian forces reportedly amassing troops to renew their offensive.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian attempts to penetrate defenses near Borivska Andriivka, Kupiansk, Novoplatonivka, and Kivsharivka have proven unsuccessful.

Additionally, in the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled assaults in the areas of Serednie, Stavky, Shiykivka, and Dibrova.

Overall, military reports confirm that 13 enemy attacks were neutralized. Defense units continue to work on degrading enemy capabilities to slow their advance.

Prior to this, the monitoring project DeepState had reported alleged Russian military progress in Vovchansk and Synkivka, as well as near Zaliznyanske in the Donetsk region.

Ukrainian military officials have refuted claims of Russian advances in the Kharkiv region, asserting that their forces are successfully holding defensive positions. Despite ongoing attacks, Ukrainian troops have managed to neutralize multiple assaults, maintaining control in key areas.
