Russian Forces Launch Over 30 Attacks in Dnipropetrovsk Region, Resulting in Casualties

On March 22, Russian military forces conducted more than 30 drone and artillery strikes across three areas in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine, leading to the deaths of two individuals, according to regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha.

The attacks primarily targeted Nikopol, as well as the communities of Pokrovsk, Marhanets, and Chervonohryhorivka. Hanzha reported that multiple businesses and a private residence were damaged, and a vehicle caught fire during the assaults.

Additionally, the Novopokrov community in the Dnipro district was also hit, resulting in another vehicle fire. In the Kryvorizh district, a residential building in the Zelenodol community sustained damage, while several infrastructure facilities in Kryvyi Rih were affected.

Russian forces have been consistently targeting Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure with various types of weaponry, including strike drones, missiles, and multiple rocket launch systems.

Ukrainian authorities and international organizations classify these attacks as war crimes, emphasizing their deliberate nature. They highlight that assaults on essential services and healthcare facilities aim to deprive civilians of electricity, heating, water supply, communication, medical assistance, and other vital living conditions, which can be seen as genocidal actions.

In contrast, Russian leadership denies that their military is intentionally striking civilian infrastructure during the ongoing conflict, claiming that such allegations are unfounded.

Recent attacks by Russian forces in the Dnipropetrovsk region resulted in significant damage and the loss of two lives. Ukrainian officials continue to label these strikes as war crimes, asserting a systematic targeting of civilian infrastructure.
