Ukraine is escalating its military operations against Russian military installations deep within enemy territory as part of a strategy aimed at diminishing Russia’s capacity for aggression.
According to Ukrainian officials, the scale and impact of these attacks are increasing, reflecting a deliberate approach to eliminate sources of terror directly at their locations. The Ukrainian military now possesses the capability to strike targets thousands of kilometers away, a development underscored by Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, who described the campaign as “intelligent, effective, and strategically sound”.
He characterized these actions as “our own Ukrainian sanctions against the Russian military machine, and we do not intend to weaken them”.
In his statements, Sibiga noted that Russian leadership is beginning to acknowledge the absence of safe havens within the country. The conflict initiated by the Kremlin is increasingly affecting Russian territory, with the intensity of Ukrainian attacks expected to rise.
He remarked,
“The longer Moscow refuses to end this senseless war, which it has no chance of winning, the worse it will be for them.”
Ukraine has systematically targeted military and strategic sites in Russia. For instance, on March 21, Ukrainian defense forces struck the Saratov oil refinery, which supplied fuel to the Russian military. Additionally, on March 19, unidentified drones attacked an anti-aircraft missile regiment in Sevastopol, located at Cape Fiolent.
The Center for Countering Disinformation has emphasized that strikes on Russian military-industrial facilities are crucial, as they create a shortage of combat components for missiles and undermine the Kremlin’s ability to sustain the war.
