Russia Offers Deal to U.S. in Exchange for Intelligence Sharing

The Russian government has proposed a deal to the United States, suggesting it would halt intelligence sharing with Iran if Washington ceases its intelligence exchanges with Ukraine. This offer was reportedly made by Russian special envoy Kirill Dmitriev during a meeting in Miami last week with Trump administration officials Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

As part of the proposal, Russia indicated it would stop providing Iran with precise locations of American military bases in the Middle East. In return, Moscow sought to ensure that Ukrainian defense forces would be left without American intelligence support.

Sources indicate that the Trump administration rejected this proposal. However, the attempt at such a deal has raised concerns among European diplomats, who view it as an effort by Moscow to create discord between Europe and the U.S. at a critical time.

According to Politico, this situation has intensified suspicions in Europe that meetings between Witkoff and Dmitriev are not leading to meaningful progress in peace negotiations, but rather are attempts by Moscow to negotiate with Washington without European involvement.

Additionally, another source revealed that U.S. officials also dismissed a separate Russian proposal concerning the transfer of enriched uranium from Iran to Russia.

Russia has proposed a controversial deal to the U.S. to halt intelligence sharing with Iran in exchange for the cessation of U.S. intelligence support to Ukraine. This proposal has raised alarms among European diplomats regarding potential divisions between the U.S. and Europe.
