Ukraine and U.S. Set to Resume Peace Talks Amid Ongoing Conflict

Negotiations aimed at ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine are set to resume in the coming days, with Ukrainian officials already en route to the United States.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the significance of signals from the U.S. indicating their readiness to engage in various formats of discussions to bring the war to a close. He stated that it is time to end the hiatus in negotiations, with Ukraine committed to ensuring that the talks are substantive.

“The Ukrainian team, specifically the political segment of the negotiation group, is on its way, and we anticipate a meeting in the United States this Saturday, March 21,” Zelensky noted.

He further elaborated on the negotiation process during discussions with key officials, including Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Budanov, and David Arakhamia, leader of the Servant of the People faction in the Parliament. First Deputy Head of the President’s Office Serhiy Kyslytsia will also participate in the meetings.

Zelensky concluded by reiterating the priority of achieving a dignified peace, expressing gratitude to all those assisting in this endeavor.
