A drone strike by Russian forces on Sunday, March 15, targeted a checkpoint near Chernihiv, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to military personnel and a police officer.
The attack occurred in the village of Novoselivka, located within the Kyselivka community of the Chernihiv region. According to local officials, the incident involved the detonation of unexploded ordnance dropped from the drone, and emergency services are currently on-site managing the situation.
In a statement to the media, regional representative Bryzhynskyi reported that five soldiers sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at medical facilities in Chernihiv. The police officer involved suffered a concussion as a result of the attack.
