Serbia Monitors Military Cooperation Among Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo Amid Rising Tensions

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has expressed concerns regarding the military collaboration between Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo, suggesting that Serbia is preparing for a potential attack from these nations. In an interview with the Serbian state broadcaster RTS, Vučić emphasized the need for vigilance in light of this trilateral alliance.

“They are waiting for the right moment. We are preparing for their attack,” Vučić stated during the interview.

Vučić revealed that he had discussed the regional security situation with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković during a recent meeting in India. According to Vučić, Plenković assured him that the military cooperation among Zagreb, Tirana, and Pristina is not aimed at Serbia.

“I listened to him, and that was it. But do I still feel anxiety and fear? Yes, I do. This military alliance is directed specifically against Serbia,” Vučić remarked.

The Serbian president characterized the trilateral pact as a military alliance, rather than merely a framework for military-technical or economic cooperation. He suggested that the member states of this alliance are hesitant to initiate an attack, aware of the potential repercussions.

“Serbia is strong enough to maintain its territorial integrity,” Vučić asserted.

Regarding Serbia’s military capabilities, Vučić noted that the country possesses long-range air-to-ground missiles with significant destructive power, weighing up to 950 kilograms and capable of reaching targets up to 400 kilometers away. He indicated plans to increase the number of these missiles in Serbia’s arsenal.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has raised alarms about military cooperation among Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo, indicating that Serbia is preparing for potential aggression. He asserts that despite assurances from Croatia, the alliance poses a direct threat to Serbia's territorial integrity.
