Ukrainian Defense Forces have launched strikes against significant military infrastructure in Russia, specifically targeting the Maykop airfield in the Republic of Adygea, as well as the Afipsky oil refinery and the Kavkaz port in Krasnodar Krai.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that preliminary information indicates successful hits on the infrastructure of the Maykop airfield.
Additionally, the General Staff provided updates on a previous attack on the Kremlinyel microelectronics factory in Bryansk, which occurred on March 10. This strike reportedly damaged the main production facility responsible for manufacturing integrated circuits used in various missile systems.
Following the attack, a fire broke out, engulfing approximately 1,000 square meters of the facility, resulting in significant roof damage. A storage area for microchip production components was also affected, with a fire covering around 400 square meters. The factory’s operations are expected to be halted for about six months.
Furthermore, the General Staff confirmed damage to the Afipsky oil refinery, where a fire was reported in the early hours of March 14. The refinery has an annual processing capacity of 6.25 million tons, accounting for 2.1% of Russia’s total oil refining output. The Ukrainian forces also targeted the Kavkaz port’s infrastructure, resulting in reported damage. Both facilities play a crucial role in supporting the Russian military.
Ukrainian forces have struck key military sites in Russia, including the Maykop airfield and the Afipsky oil refinery, causing significant damage and operational disruptions. The attacks are part of ongoing efforts to undermine Russian military capabilities.
