DTEK Doubles Green Energy Connections in 2025

In 2025, DTEK reported a significant increase in the number of connected green energy facilities, doubling the total to over 5,000 installations across various regions.

The company noted that the rise in connected renewable and distributed generation facilities was particularly pronounced in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv Oblast, and Odesa. This growth represents a substantial expansion compared to the previous year.

Overall, DTEK has connected a total of 24,500 green energy facilities to the electrical grid.

The distribution of new connections is as follows:

  • Kyiv Oblast: 2,804 installations;
  • Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: 872 installations;
  • Odesa Oblast: 887 installations;
  • Kyiv: 169 installations.

Alina Bondarenko, the CEO of DTEK Networks, emphasized the importance of each new installation. She stated, “Every new distributed or green generation facility adds resilience to the energy system.” This statement reflects the company’s strategy to enhance energy security amid ongoing threats to major energy infrastructure.

Bondarenko further explained that decentralized generation helps alleviate pressure on the grid and facilitates quicker restoration of electricity supply. “We provide a comfortable and swift connection for new capacities, even amid ongoing repairs following attacks. This is our contribution to ensuring that communities and businesses have greater energy autonomy,” she added.

DTEK has doubled its green energy connections in 2025, increasing the total to over 5,000 installations. This expansion is part of the company's efforts to enhance energy resilience and autonomy in the face of ongoing challenges.
