Recent Russian strikes on energy infrastructure have left several communities in the Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions without electricity. Restoration efforts are currently underway, according to the Ministry of Energy and the National Energy Company of Ukraine (Ukrenergo).
In response to the impacts of earlier attacks, rolling blackouts are being implemented across affected areas, affecting all consumer categories and limiting power for industrial users. Residents have been advised to check local energy provider websites for specific outage schedules.
“Given the weather conditions, it is advisable to shift energy consumption to the hours of peak solar efficiency — from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM,” the announcement stated.
Additionally, residents in regions experiencing power cuts are encouraged to use heavy electrical appliances after 10:00 PM. The situation within the energy system remains fluid, and residents are urged to stay updated through local energy provider channels.
