On Monday, March 9, residents in several regions of Ukraine will experience scheduled power outages from 8:00 AM until the end of the day. This measure has been announced by the national energy company, Ukrenergo.
The company attributed the outages to the ongoing effects of extensive Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. These attacks have significantly impacted the stability of the power supply.
Ukrenergo has indicated that the timing and extent of these power restrictions may vary, urging citizens to monitor updates from the official regional energy providers for the most accurate information.
Since January 14, under the directive of President Volodymyr Zelensky, a state of emergency has been in effect in response to the ongoing assaults on Ukraine’s energy sector.
Scheduled power outages in Ukraine are a direct response to recent Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. Citizens are advised to stay informed through regional energy providers as the situation evolves.
